I use this color wheel when talking with clients. Just how many colors of blue are there? This wheel makes matching and coordinating colors a snap. It has an audition window, combinations for 3 and 4 color combos, and makes it easy to pick out accents, lights, darks, and mediums for your project...any project.

Make this goodie box at Scrap Happy July 23rd, 2011, from 10am to noon. Cost is $25. Check out the link to the side for more info. I used the Punch a Bunch paper punch and Glimmer Mist spray. The punch will be available for class as well as the mists. Bring a Birch Leaf punch and some green paper but the goodie box is included in the class fee. Pick up your supply list and view the sample when you register for class.

Spring Card Season

Easter kicks off spring and summer card sales. Baby showers, weddings, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and graduations. I will be at my design table whipping up batches of cards as well as making inventory for ArTrails. I think I have settled on a life size paper dress for the train station show.

ARTrails

I did it! I jurried in for the fourth year to ARTrails. Photos on Saturday for the tour guide. I think I will be at Stillwater Estates again this year. Now I need to make something for the show in September. I did the shoe last year...maybe a framed piece this year?

Jane Jenkins Peacock

I found this in one of Jane Jenkins books. I loved her tone on tone but wondered what a bit of color and sparkle would look like. I used holofoil edged and parchment papers, swarovski crystals, and a beautiful background paper. Thanks for your inspiration Jane. I hope I did justice to your design.

Spring cards

Spring cards coming soon to the Porcelain Rose. I love this collection of Jack and Jill papers. I used the holo-foils edged papers to give a bit of sparkle. It is amazing how the paplin pastels and the English papers match.

New quilling group forming

I will be organizing a new quilling group in the Longview/Kelso WA area! We will be meeting at the Porcelain Rose Tea Shop located at 2022 10th Ave Longview WA. We will be served tea starting at noon and winding up about 3pm on the second Saturday of the month starting in April. Bring your project to work on. This is a time of sharing your discoveries and learning new tips and tricks. The cost is the purchase of a pot of tea and a goodie....how sweet is that! paper retreat

Had a great time at paper retreat! Lots of fun classes. Got to catch up with everyone. The food was unbelievable. I am so tired. I picked up a new EK edge punch (new favorite punches) and some really pretty papers.

ArTrails call for artists

It's that time of year again. ArTrails is looking for artists to add to the tour in September. The jury process starts by downloading the application on their website. Check the side panel for the link. I have been in it for three years and I am hoping for a 4th. I hope I will be at the Stillwater estates again this year. Come join the fun! The process is very easy and the committee work is more of a social event.
